Nomansland Summer Fayre Update!

After a slightly slow start due to the weather the Summer Fayre was a massive success and everyone seemed to have fun. The Nomansland Sports Association and the 4th Romsey Scouts would like to thank all those who came along to support the Fayre.

We would particularly like to thank all those who helped on the day – we needed every one of you – and also our sponsors, stallholders and everyone else who contributed. It was a real team effort and the whole community should be proud that we can put on an event that attracts visitors from a wide area.

As usual our unique Splottery was a source of great interest and amusement especially from first time visitors. ‘Flower’ the cow duly delivered a perfectly formed ‘splot’ at about 4pm and the location was measured by judges Malcolm Evans and Gid Aymes just after the end of the Fayre at 5pm. The winning ticket – number 1558 – was one of the last tickets to the sold on the day, just before the deadline of 5pm.

The winner was Roger Bowyer of York Drove, Nomansland who wins the prize of £300 – well done Roger!
