NSA – Summer Fayre meeting 1st May 2013

 

Those present: John Roberts, Gid Aymes, Darren Grayer, Malcolm Evans, Bill, Nikki, Louise, Steve Lyons, Cindy Pritchard, Sam Leader, Nigel Webster, Rob

 

  1. Summer fayre list of jobs:

–       Discussion re sponsorship and levels of donation asked. All companies will get their logo through the door on the leaflets. The thresholds will be £100, £500 or £1000. A main sponsor could put boards up at the fayre. Sponsors are also people/companies who provide ‘goods in kind’ as well as money donations. Main sponsor could have a board. Sponsors names will go on the website.

–       Possible sponsor – Charles Powell (Estate Agent).

–       John has approached Sonia Lambert re the printing for the fayre.

–       BBQ: meat to be bought from Mike.

–       Organising volunteers: please forward names to Gid. Gid will produce the programme of volunteers.

–       Beer tent supplies: beer will be sold at fayre. Agree quantity nearer to the time due to weather.

–       Bands: ukulele band (needs to be booked), ‘Through the storm’ confirmed. Darren to ask ‘Clutching at Straws’. Cindy to email Lallie Wadham re whether she is expecting a fee. Paid petrol expenses last year.

–       Splottery tickets: 1200 sold last year. Print 1600 – need to ensure these are sold.

–       Bouncy castle: check they have insurance. Negotiation to take place to ensure that those providing rides turn up and have paid a minimum contribution. Malcolm to check situation with insurance premium.

–       Dog show: Nikki thinks she has a judge to judge pedigree classes.
